I-League debutantes Sudeva FC have appointed Bhutanese football manager Chencho Dorji as the new Head Coach for the 2020-21 I-League season. The club recently won the bid to take part in the I-League.

The 38-year-old AFC A license holder joined Sudeva FC last year as technical director and has now been given the mandate to lead the senior team in the 2020-21 I-League scheduled to be held in November this year.

Before joining Delhi-based Sudeva, Dorji was a coach with the Bhutan Football Federation for 12 years where was head coach of Bhutan’s junior teams. More recently, he was in-charge of the youth team at FC Imphal City.

It was really a big moment for me and I am excited. I want to thank the president and vice president of the club for having faith in me. I want to take this opportunity as a challenge.

It will be a challenging task being a part of I-League which is mostly managed by coaches from European countries. I-League is one of the best football leagues in South East Asia. It is an opportunity to learn and experience new things.
