Odisha FC have announced the signing of 24-year-old Hyderabad FC goalkeeper Kamaljit Singh on a two-year deal.

An AIFF Elite Academy product, Kamaljit signed his first professional contract with Sporting Clube de Goa in 2014. After a couple of seasons at the club, he moved to Minerva Punjab for a year before finding his way to ISL side FC Pune City in 2017.

When the FC Pune City franchise dissolved before the 2019-20 ISL season, Kamaljit was retained by the newly minted Hyderabad FC. He ended up making 12 appearances in the 2019-20 edition of the Indian Super League.

With the foreign Odisha FC goalkeeper Francisco Dorronsoro most likely on his way out of the club, Kamaljit Singh will have fellow AIFF Elite Academy graduate Arshdeep Singh to contend with for the goalkeeper spot.

I am extremely delighted to be a part of Odisha FC and am grateful to the club management for showing interest in me.

I am looking forward to playing in Bhubaneswar and hopefully will be able to contribute to the team’s cause from the back.
