Chanmari FC qualified for the Mizoram Premier League semifinals after the withdrawal of Mizoram Police FC.
Aizawl FC, Chhinga Veng FC, and Electric Veng FC are the other teams in the semifinals.
The semifinal lineup will feature Aizawl FC against Chanmari FC, while Chhinga Veng FC will face Electric Veng FC. The two-legged semifinals are scheduled on December 3 & 4 and December 10 & 11.
At the other end of the table, Chawnpui FC survived the drop while FC Venghnuai gets a second shot at staying in the league in a two-legged playoff. Ramhlun North FC are relegated to the First Division League.

Mizoram Police FC’s excellent run in the Mizoram Premier League came to a close with a 1-1 draw against Chawnpui FC.
The Police outfit will not feature in the semifinals owing to their participation in the B.N Mullick Memorial All India Police Football Tournament which will be held between December 4-19 in Kolkata.
After a second-place finish in the league with 26 points with an enterprising, attacking style of play, Mizoram Police FC will aim to beat the likes of BSF and Kerala Police to lift the trophy named after the former Intelligence Bureau director of India.
Bhola Nath Mullick. The man who had Jawaharlal Nehru’s ear, misread the Chinese intentions in 1962 and was a firm believer that Subash Chandra Bose was not dead. Look him up.
Now back to the football. The result meant that Chawnpui avoided relegation to the First Division.
Chawnpui did have some nervy moments, especially after Lallawnsanga’s own goal in the 49th minute. Skipper Lalnunmawia stepped up to rescue Chawnpui with a goal in the 58th minute.
1-1 and a better head-to-head against FC Venghnuai meant that Chawnpui will remain in Mizoram’s top division.
Electric Veng into the semis; Venghnuai into playoff

Electric Veng FC booked their semifinal spot with a 1-1 draw against FC Venghnuai in the Mizoram Premier League.
Needing at least one point to stay ahead of Chanmari FC in the race to the fourth spot, the nerves of the Electric Veng players were calmed down in the fourth minute when striker Lalrammawia found the back of the net with relative ease.
Venghnuai needed a win to stay out of the relegation playoffs. HK Lalhruiatluanga equalized in the 69th minute. But the scoreline did not help their cause as they finished the season in seventh place with 12 points.
All is not lost for FC Venghnuai as they face FC Kanan in a two-legged playoff to stay in the MPL.
The matches will be held on December 2nd and 4th.
Chanmari thrash Ramhlun; enter semis through the back door

Chanmari FC: (Thomas Lalengkima 7′, Lalremruata 41’, Lalnunzama 63’, Roluahpuia 82’, Rochhingpuia 83’ [P])
Chanmari FC took to the field at Lammual with an aim to win the match and pray that luck would come in their way.
With 17 points in the bag, they were hoping that their closest rivals, Electric Veng FC, would drop points in their match.
Thomas Lalengkima set the ball rolling with a long-distance strike to give Chanmari the lead. The defender beat the goalkeeper from the halfway line to make it 1-0 in the seventh minute.
Lalremruata doubled the lead in the 41st-minute after robbing a Ramhlun defender to put Chanmari 2-0 ahead at the half time whistle.
The match was done and dusted in the 63rd minute with Lalnunzuma making it 3-0.
Substitutes Roluahpuia and Rochhingpuia added two more goals in the final ten minutes as Chanmari FC ran out 5-0 winners.
It was the end of the road for Ramhlun North. A forgettable season which ended in nine points, six of which came in a double over Chawnpui FC. The relegation will see them participate in the First Division in the next season.
FC Bethlehem qualify for 9th MPL
FC Bethlehem has gained promotion to the 9th edition of the Mizoram Premier League.
Two goals on either half from Lalnunzira Sailo and Lalnuntluanga sealed the deal for Bethlehem against Kanan FC.
Bethlehem won the two-legged playoff 2-0 after the first leg ended goalless.
Kanan FC will now face FC Venghnuai in a two-legged playoff.
