The 29-year-old Ugandan forward Henry Kisekka is back at Gokulam Kerala FC after spending a season with Kolkata giants, Mohun Bagan. The Ugandan international was at the Kozhikode-based club in 2017-18 where his nine appearances fetched seven goals and two assists.
Henry spent his formative years in football at SC Villa, a hugely successful club in the Ugandan Premier League; SC Villa has won the championship a record 16 times.
Kisekka went on to sign his first senior team contract with another Ugandan Premier League club, URA SC, in 2008. After three years at the club, the forward moved to Vietnam and featured for Hòa Phát Hà Nội FC, Quang Nam FC, Đồng Nai FC and XSKT Cần Thơ – from where he joined Gokulam Kerala FC originally in 2017-18.
Last season, the Ugandan international featured heavily for Mohun Bagan. His 19 appearances in the I-League yielded five goals and two assists.
