The bottom-placed Delhi Dynamos will be the perfect team for Jamshedpur to get back in the scheme of things with the Delhi side low in confidence and unlikely to score.
Delhi are yet to win a game, are bottom of the table and have scored the least amount of goals while letting in twice as many.
Their forwards Daniel Lalhlimpuia and Andrija Kaludjerovic have a grand total of one goal from 16 appearances and the Serbian is looking like one of the worst foreign signings of the season.
The paucity of goals
Tonight, it will be all up to the effervescent Lallianzuala Chhangte to make something happen for Delhi. Chhangte has been the lone spark in Delhi’s campaign this season and is their top goalscorer.
Delhi do play pretty football, but the lack of a genuine goalscorer has killed them this season. Still with the likes of Adria Carmona, Rene Mihelic and talented Indian internationals on the wings and flanks, they should pick up a win at some point – hopefully within the next eight games before the season runs out.

MATCH REPORT
Familiar failings raised their head again as Delhi Dynamos slumped to their seventh defeat of the season against a resilient Jamshedpur FC.
Delhi dominated the early part of the game and soon enough opened the scoring in the 24th minute from a sweet left-footed finish by Chhangte across the goal from inside the
Jamshedpur got the equalizer a few minutes later from a trademark Tim Cahill header from a Carlos Calvo cross. The Delhi defender Zuiverloon let the striker ahead of him to meet the ball and it was easy pickings for the former Everton forward.
The Red Miners got a second goal which would eventually win them the game in the second half. Farukh Choudhary latched onto a loose ball just inside the box and found the corner of the net while he was falling over.
A quick glance at the xG graph reveals Delhi had a number of shots on goal, but just could not finish in the final third. They pushed forward after Jamshedpur went 2-1 up (Running Sum xG); Chhangte had a couple of great chances and one of them was from six yards out, but he could not put it in the back of the net. The rest of the Delhi team followed suit and tried hard not to score from the chances they had on offer.

To Jamshedpur’s credit, they got the job done. They were organised in defence, kept their shape and played on the break. They are back in among the play-off positions and the win will restore confidence after an indifferent run of results in the past month.
