Initial reports suggest there has been a falling out between the Australian goalkeeper Jerrad Tyson and Chennai City FC. The goalkeeper signed from South Melbourne on a long-term contract this season revealed in an Instagram post that he is no longer with the Coimbatore-based club.
Erik Paartalu, the Australian midfielder who plays with Bengaluru FC came out in support of Tyson:
“Horrible treatment from Chennai City FC, can’t believe what they put you through. Onwards and upwards bro, can’t keep people like you down for long.”
The player turned to Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) to mediate the termination of his contract. More updates to follow.
